Much like the last journal entry. Oni Press, the company that publishes Scott Pilgrim, Sharknife and many more fantastic graphic novels came to our school this past weekend since they couldn't be here for Editor's Day. The funny thing about this is, that I originally wasn't even thinking about getting my portfolio reviewed by them since I wasn't sure if they were looking for heavily manga influenced things. But I was WRONG! I was at the Sequential Art building as a student/alumni representative for the Senior Project classes and I had to go up and give a student perspective about the course and I showed my work which was pretty much all my Aerial Rave stuff. Oh, by the way, we were getting our department assessed by James Lucas Jones (Oni Press editor) and Chip Kidd! So two big names in the comics world were casting judgement!!! Haha. I was definitely nervous. So after talking about senior project, Chip Kidd asked me to pitch Aerial Rave. I WAS NOT READY FOR THAT ONE!! So I sucked it up and did it and It went over better than I thought. James Lucas Jones asked me if I had a review with him on Saturday, at the time, I didn't. But I told him I'd be there trying to get squeezed in. Which I did and it proved to be awesome. He's definitely interested in Aerial Rave!!! He said the concept and story sounds like a LOT of fun and he wants me to send him the pages for it as I produce them. SUPER EXCITING!
Is this going to be my big break!? Who knows, all I know is that I'm going into double time now and I'm going to be working on Aerial Rave from now on every chance I get!

Wow, I never expected it to happen like this. Though, nothing is set in stone just yet so as things progress, I'll definitely keep you guys in the loop!!
Holla!

P.S. - Hey, I have a poll up for what prints I should have for Anime Weekend Atlanta this year. Decide for me because I can't decide for myself. :-P
